SGA Minutes | Senators plan leadership conference, Greek organizations raise money for several causes

President Tre Nelson was absent from the meeting but thanked SGA members for attending the SGA Halloween Movie night Oct. 24.

Sen. Jacob Ellis met with SGA Adviser Shayne Creppel last week regarding Leadership NSU. More information will follow.

SGA will host Leadership Luncheon Nov. 6 in the Student Union Ballroom from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The event is open to all students and meant to introduce NSU leadership to the student body.

Sen. Ragan Aple reported she updated the SGA OrgSync page with photos of senators.

Cops and Cane’s will be held Nov. 9 at noon in the Stroud Room of the Athletic Fieldhouse; this is an SGA-member-only event.

Phi Mu will host its Bayou Bash on Nov. 16 featuring Louisiana-themed food and live music, including a gumbo cook-off. Tickets are $10 each.

Kappa Sigma is holding a raffle to benefit fallen police officers in the Lafayette and New Orleans areas. Tickets are $2 each.

Tau Kappa Epsilon will collaborate with Raising Cane’s to raise money for St. Jude’s.
